After you save your file, you need to view it in the browser. You do not need to “publish” a page to see what it will look like on the Internet. You can view it from your storage device. No one else can see it unless they are at your machine, but you should view your file in the browser to check the display BEFORE you publish it to the Internet.
KEEP NOTEPAD OPEN. You may want to return to your code to make editing changes. It is more efficient to keep it open so that you can go back and forth between the browser view and your code easily.
If you see any changes that need to be made, toggle back to Notepad, make changes in the code, SAVE the changes.
To see the file changes in the browser, toggle back to Internet Explorer window and use the REFRESH toolbar button so it will re-read your coded page.
Continue this procedure until you have your file like you want it! Save your file when finished to be sure you have the most current version of your page saved to your storage device.
